Join us for Te Ura o te Kōwhai: Illuminating Best Practice, an immersive, in-person workshop designed for counselling students looking to find a placement that reflects their values and supports their growth. We’ll begin the day with coffee and connection at 9:00am, followed by a full-day experience that dives into the heart of counselling practice. Together, we’ll explore your core values and how they align with our team culture, unpack the differences between placement settings and private practice, and engage in interactive activities that follow the client’s journey from first contact to final session. You’ll gain hands-on experience in opening and closing sessions with care, learn how to navigate suicide risk triage responsibly, and collaborate on case studies to develop supportive strategies for clients. It’s a day of insight, growth, and genuine connection, where you can showcase your unique strengths beyond counselling and get a feel for our warm, values-driven team environment.
